1996 Pontiac Grand Am Question: ABS LIGHT COME ON ONCE IN A WHILE WAS TOLD ABS SENSOR IS BAD

 Rookie

ABS LIGHT COMES ON ONCE IN A AWHILE. WHEN I TURN THE CAR OFF AND BACK ON IT GOES OUT. MECHANIC SAID IT COULD BE A ABS BRAKE SENSOR. HOW CAN YOU TELL WHICH SENSOR IS BAD??????

    You'll want to pull the codes from the module, that will help to isolate the issue. Once you have the code, perform the appropriate troubleshooting to find the problem.

    You'll need a scan tool that can read the codes in your car. I advise you take it to a repair shop and have it looked at.

    Kind of, but not all of them can read ABS codes, so you need one that can read the codes in your ABS module.
