I have a 1997 Tacoma and work on a lot of them. The problem we see is failure of the ABS usually due to a failed wheel sped sensor. Are you sure the ABS is malfunctioning and operating in a too sensitive manner or could it be operating normally? A friend that works for Toyota told me he has put ABS computers in some newer Toyotas.
