If the AC compressor goes out on my car,will it stop it from starting?

    If the A/C compressor is seized and won't allow the engine to turn over then that would cause a no start issue. I have never seen a bad A/C compressor stop a vehicle from starting.

    well it happened to my car.. or so i was told.. they found it when my car wouldnt start.. they thought it was just the starter.. but when they put the new starter on it,they said it still wouldnt start and thats when they found that the AC compressor had locked up on it

    i just experience the same problem on my 1995 850,a lock comperessor will keep the vehicle from starting. a 47.5 inch belt will work if you are going to bypassthe ac compressor,you can this belt at autozone.
