AAMCO Walnut Creek
I first met Derek in October 2007, when the transmission in my Ford Escape suddenly died. The shop did an excellent job rebuilding the transmission and loaned me a vehicle at no charge - for over a week. Over the years, I have come to respect Derek for his business savvy, honesty and integrity. He is a definite cut above anyone I have met in the automotive repair business. In October, 2010, 5 days before my warranty expired, I was told that the transmission was leaking. Derek checked it out, tightened some areas and told me to let him know how it went. It continued to leak and Derek said he would take care of the repair under the warranty. I appreciated this and waited until it was a convenient time for the shop and he had a loaner car for me to drive. It was repaired on 1/5/11, which was a couple of months after the warranty ended, but Derek kept his word and did the repair under the Warranty. He also loaned me a car for two days at no charge. How many repair shops would do that, all with a smile and an extremely high level of customer service. I just cannot tell enough people about this business.

I have been a faithful customer of Robert's (Whitey's) since he was on his own. He's honest and someone I trust wholeheartedly to work on my german car. When he moved to Aamco, I had no qualms about his team and the employees of Aamco continuing to service my car. Their prices are fair and they do great work. I have recommended their services to people in the area and everyone has been impressed. I recommend Aamco Walnut Creek 100%.

AAMCO in Walnut Creek is a legitimate auto repair center. Derek (owner) is as honest and friendly of an individual you'll find in Walnut Creek. The same goes for Whitey,(lead mechanic). Their prices are more than fair and the quality of their work is top notch. I would recommend them to anyone. No questions asked.

These guys ROCK! After an estimate from the dealership I brought my car to Derek and Whitey, 2 of the friendliest people you could ever meet. After extensive testing they saved me $600 - that's right, 6 HUNDRED dollars!! I'll be bringing my car here from now on for everything from oil changes to major work. They work fast, they work clean and they're honest and friendly.

Derek's business card says "Complete Car Care Experts". In addition, it should say "Complete Customer Service Experts". I was impressed with Derek and his staff when I took my car in for service in May. This was the first time I was getting my car serviced after my service contract expired with the dealership where I purchased my car. The first thing that got my attention is that they didn't charge me to determine the problem...imagine that! Then, they arranged for a loaner car at a great rate, and they kept me informed of the progress of the repair. The total cost was a very fair price for the work they did. They told me that there could be an as-yet undetectable leak in my radiator and there were some things that would require attention in the future. No pressure. After driving my car for about a month, it overheated one day while I was on the road. I added water to the cooling system and drove with the heat on (during a very warm day - ugh!). Then I just drove it in to their shop on my way home - no appointment. Imagine my surprise when they immediately looked into the problem. They gave ME some water (!) and added coolant to my car. Steve ran the engine for a while to see if he could find a leak. With no obvious leak detected, he told me it could be a slow leak. He filled up and gave me an empty coolant jug with water and advised me to keep monitoring it and adding water as necessary until a leak becomes obvious. I would have purchased a jug of coolant, but he told me that it would be a waste of money if they had to drain the radiator. To top it all off, when I asked how much I owed them, Derek just smiled and sent home a very happy customer! Derek, Steve, and his staff are real gems! They have earned my trust and my business!
