Question: A4 2002 back up light bulb issue
Question
..replaced OEM rear lights with aftermarket kit (darkened version) and everything works except for right rear bak up bulb. tried swapping out bulbs and still not working - get that annoying error message for the rear b/u bulb..any suggestions?

MasterGet a test light and check for power to the bulb socket. Double check the bulbs and wiring. It's a straight forward circuit, power to the bulb and a ground that is probably grounded in the trunk somewhere. The ground is probably shared with other bulbs, so it's likely OK.

Visitor, November 08, 2010, 16:35ReplyI have a 99 A8 that had the same issue and it turned out to be the F125 Neutral Safety switch that attaches to the transmission. The part is costly $ 300- $600
