Question: a series of beeps with no indication lights

shortly after the car is started a series of five beeps occurs they sound for five times and then stop there are no indication lights on the dash panel they occur again after traveling about 100 to 150 miles a mechanic told me it could be the security system please let me know what it is

Typically these beeps are for a malfunctioning air bag light. See if your Air Bag light comes on when starting the car. It should be on at first, then go off in several seconds. If it does not, the bulb could be burned out or there could be another issue. In this case, the 5 beeps will occur.

THANK YOU!!!!! This has been driving everyone crazy for years! Called Ford and they said they had no clue what it was!!!
