A knocking May be Noted From the Engine Under Certain Conditions on Lexus LS460

A knocking sound may be heard at idle, when the air conditioning is off and the automatic transmission is in "Drive". Several changes have been made to improve this; a computer software upgrade, revised valve lash adjusters, and a redesigned timing chain are all available to try and correct this concern.

I had a similar problem with my '07 LS460 however my '13 (18k miles) engine noise is more severe. When the engine has not reached operating temp and it is under load ie going up a grade or in low idle the noise is substantial. I wrote Lexus dealer and USA Hennessy Lexus said it was normal. Another dealer said it is not. I am taking it into an independent + Nalley Lexus for a reassessment.
