A-1 Foreign Auto has been serving the Mountain View area since 1983. They have a very experienced staff (30 years average experience) of ASE certified technicians who are ready to put their knowledge to work servicing and repairing all makes and models. This is definitely a family affair—Kathy is the service adviser and her husband, John, is the lead technician. Kathy will greet you when you arrive, take care of all the paper work, answer any questions you may have along the way, and make sure you are satisfied. A-1 is also certified to handle all types of smog inspections and repairs.

  The only thing is whenever I go up there and I ask them when I can bring it in they always say right now or they do it real quick and they do an excellent job. I was just up there the other day. I said when can I bring it in, and they said I'll do it right now. Him and his wife are very nice people.

  They are extremely friendly. They gave me my car back without me paying for it. I paid for it the next day, but they gave it to me the day before because I needed it. There aren't many repair shops that would do something like that.

  I have a disability and I can't ride my bike so it is hard to get my car down there and back. Fortunately his wife is able to help to get me down there and back and that's very much appreciated.

  I have been going there for fifteen years and I have always been extremely happy and satisfied with the repair and the friendliness of the staff. I have recommended at least half a dozen people. I remember one time he didn't have the car ready so he gave me his own car until mine was ready.

  A 1 is very professional. They have gone above and beyond the call to make you feel comfortable. They even loaned me their personal vehicle when all their loaner vehicles were unavailable.

  I have been going to his shop for 20 years so I know him quite well. During those 20 years he has demonstrated a very acute knowledge of auto repair. I have a friend who is a mechanical engineer who has done his own mechanical work on his own car. He has a 1964 Mercedes and the owner of A 1 told him more about his car than he even knew.

  I have had my car serviced there for a number of years. Sometimes there were difficult problems but he always came through. I had an Italian car that had it's own personality and A 1 Foreign always knew what to do to maker her happy. The mechanics there are very confident and very trustworthy.

  It's a great place. We have worked with them for a long time. They always get it right. They are reasonable. They are quick. They are very accommodating. I hate to share it because I don't want too many people to go there. They get it done on time and they are nice people.

  The people are really friendly they have had all the information I ever needed for anything I had to have done for my car. They explained everything in detail and it was really great. It's just a friendly family. They greet you when you come in. They just talk to you about anything and they are just really friendly people.
