    Fault Code Definition

    • Turbocharger/Supercharger Boost Control "A" Circuit

    What does this mean? The engine control module (PCM) uses a Boost Control Solenoid to control the turbocharger and provide the requested amount of boost. When the PCM detects an incorrect signal from the Boost Control Solenoid, it will set code P004E.


    • Engine may enter limp home mode (reduced performance)
    • Lack of boost from the turbo/supercharger
