1996 Chevrolet S10

Question: 96 s-10 4x4 has no power past 3000rpms and kinda shutters about

Girl loves S-10 4x4, 4.3L V6, Henderson, NV, March 17, 2010, 02:23

Rookie

I have replaced spark plugs, wires, distributer cap and rotor. There is no check engine light on but when I go to accelerate it seems like it tops off at 3000rpm but then can very slowly and with some hesitation can get up to 45 rpm. Please help!

Possibly the inline fuel filter is clogged

if it was right after you put the plugs in use oem if not check the cat

Yeah got a new catilytic converter and now it's back to normal. But like the other guys stated make sure it's not your fuel filters or the other things that were mentioned.

could be valve springs ck if you can spin grab with hand try to spin if turn s easy they are bad
