96 Buick Skylark. Shift indicator pointer and letters do not lock up. on 1996 Buick Skylark

All other dash lights work fine. On the shift indicator, neither the "pointer" nor the "letters" light up, i.e. when in drive, it does lock in the drive position, but neither the pointer nor the "D" light up. Same with all other positions.

Shift indicator light may be blown. I had the same situation with my 2000 Chevy Cavalier. More of a nuisance than an actual problem. You can shift with confidence in the daytime when you can see, but at night you're not quite as sure. At night I either had to turn on the interior light or be lucky and parked under a street light.

Thanks for the reply! Yes, working fine as is, just figured I would finally fix it after 3+ years! We'll just let it go for now. Have a great weekend!
