Question: 96 buick skylark. appears that the trunk/cargo light stays lit when the trunk

stays lit when the trunk is closed. we closed the car doors, waiting for the dome lights to go out, then put a camera in the trunk on 10 second delay/no flash. the light was still on???

    REPLACE LIGHT ASSEM. WITH MERCURY ACTIVATED UNIT. UNTIL THEN REMOVE BULB.
    SEE AUTO PARTS STORE FOR PARTS.

    Thanks!!! Finally figured it out earlier. There was a mercury sensor that had obviously came unclipped and was placed too high on the inside of the hood hinge of the trunk. We slid it down, screwed it in, and now it works great! The light goes out when the trunk is 3/4 closed. Even wrapped a little duct-tape around the screw with the sensor. Thanks for the response, appreciate it.
