92 Lexus LS400, when accelerating car bogs down/won't engage until I floor it? on 1992 Lexus LS400

92 LS 400 - Just started today, at any speed from idle/stopped to highway speeds, car won't accelerate and bogs down unless I floor it. When I do floor it, it jerks like it just suddenly got a blast of fuel and leaps forward. Then it's fine for a little while before it repeats the same. Almost all stops or low speeds cause it to happen though. Only flooring it will force it to accelerate. Anyone have an idea what might be causing this?

Here's a guess, throttle position sensor. Should show up in a scan test!

We have a 92 Ls400. Our car wasn't shifting, and luckily the lady we bought it from said she would fix anything within 6wks of us buying it, so she had the transmission changed. Unfortunately, for her, it wasn't the issue and it still was not working. Before you go to fix anything expensive, check the trunk and see if any wires (on either hinge to trunk door) is not severed. It's a $10 fix. I don't know how to fix it so my brother in law replaced wire for me. All it costed was a kit and wired clippers...cost $10 for all materials.
