Question: 90,000 mile service & timing belt and/or water pump?

Rookie

I have 105,000. I have bypassed the dealer services from 90,000 on but still get the oil changed. The dealer wants to do the timing belt of the 90,000 service even though I vetoed it at 90,000. Should I pass again? What would be the cost?

by not doing the service, you risk the belt breaking causing thousands of dollar's in damage to the motor.
replacing the water pump is highly recommended along with this service.

Lexus recommends the timing belt replacement at 90,000 miles or 72 months.
The 3MZ-FE engine is a FREEWHEELING engine, so valve-to piston damage is unlikely.
I suggest to replace the belt, since - according to Murphy's law - it will brakes when you need the car for some very special occasion, you are hundreds of miles from your home, in the middle of the night when your cell phone's battery is dead and no one is around to help.

The cost would be $350.00 for a new timing belt installed,We are not far from you,Call us and we could schedule that job for you.We ASE master certified,With factory Lexus tooling.This job should be done soon.
