Yesterday replaced front O2 sensor which fixed a host of problems, truck running great and check engine light went off. However, upon cranking there is a series of 5 beeps that stops after about a minute. No warning lights, all gauges operating, just the beeps. Any ideas???

MasterProbably your air bag system proving out. When you turn the key on, does your air bag light illuminate and prove out? I bet it doesn't - the module will beep 5 times to alert you that the system is operational and your light is out.

DaveJHM, December 22, 2010, 21:15ReplyMasterIt is a bulb issue most likely in the instrument cluster. It will have to be removed and the bulbs checked and replaced as necessary. That is the first step. Easy - for a qualified tech, not bad. Things can break for the non-experienced person working on it...wiring connectors, trim pieces, and so on. Probably an hour labor and several dollars for each bulb.
