1998 Ford F-150 Question: 4x4 vacuum actuator not moving

DIY FIXER, Elba, NY, December 30, 2012, 17:12
 Rookie

lost 4 wheel peel. turn the switch and the light on dash comes on, can hear something engaging or sliding. wife turned the switch from 2h to 4h and back and forth. the actuator is not moving at all. need i look somewhere else or replace it. is it hard to replace for a diyer.

    SENT YOU THE MESSAGE ON THAT E-MAIL. BUT I WILL JUST PUT THIS OUT THERE. ALREADY ATTEMPTED TO REMOVE THE ACTUATOR. WILL NOT BUDGE, TRIED A HAMMER AND CHISLE, DAMAGED THE PIECE THAT LOOKS LIKE BRASS THAT IS ACTUALY ALUMINUM. HOW DO YOU GET IT OUT NOW. I AM AT THE END OF MY ROPE. I LIVE IN WESTERN NY SO I DEFFINATELY NEED THE 4 WHEEL PEEL. CAN ANYONE HELP..PLS
