FLUSHED COOLING SYSTEM, REPLACED WTR PUMP & THERMOSAT.WILL WORK FINE TILL I GET GOING ABOUT 1 MILE. STARTGETTING HOT. I CAN STOP PUT IT IN NEUTRAL GIVE IT SOME GAS AND IT WILL COME DOWN TO A NORMAL RANGE WITH NO HEAT COMING OUT. IF I PARK IT WILL STAY IN THE NORMAL RANGE WITH NO HEAT. BUT, IF I STEP ON THE ACCELERATOR HE HEAT WILL START. HAS SEVERAL MECHANICS BAFFLED. ALSO IF IT GETS TOO HOT I WILL LOOSE COOLANT BUT HAS NEVER LOST MORE THAN A HALF GALLON SINCE I STOPPED. FANS DO COME ON ALSO WHEN IT GETS VERY HOT. MECHANICS HAVE ALSO RULED OUT HEAD GASKET BY PUKKING SOME PLUGS.

poss radiator blockage, but have cooling system chemical tested for head gasket isuue. sounds like a coolant flow issue. was cooling system bled properly after replacing water pump and therm?

not an answer but i am having same problem. i have replaced thermostat, water pump and heater hose. one says it probably is a blockage in radiator bc the coolant is flowing properly. I think i need a new radiator bc i did put 2 different kinds of stop leak in it.

That could be an issue. If it idles and doesn't overheat very quickly but overheats quickly while driving it's your radiator.
