Engine started making a wurring noise 8 weeks ago Ford Dealer said nothing to worry about mmmm! then noise stopped after a week only to return again two weeks ago. Then today battery light remains on with no obvious electrical fault (everything works) Any ideas as reluctant to return to Mr "nothing to worry about"?

MasterLikely the alternator has failed. Need to get charging system tested asap before it dies in traffic on you..and it may.
