Question: 2007 BMW 335i . . . Uses Oil - Normal ?

Our BMW service rep. told us early in our 335's life that it is common for this vehicle to burn / use oil a quart everyu 1000 to 1500 miles . . . does that sound right to anyone ?

    I think 1000 miles per qt is a bit high. There is some oil consumed in normal operation, but I think your engine should be tighter than that, especially if you don't drive it hard. High speed or high heat conditions could increase oil consumption but 1000 miles per qt is extravagant, in my opinion.
