2005 Volkswagen Beetle

 

Question: 2005 VW Beetle won't always start especially first thing. Anyone have this prob?

The car will often fail to start. Engine cranks but doesn't even try to catch. Dealership garage no help. Has anyone had this problem and if so what was the solution?

    THESE CARS HAVE ALOT OF MASS AIR FLOW SENSOR ISSUES WITHOUT SETTING CODES HAVE THAT READ WITH A SCANNER

    A scanner or a Digital Storage oscilloscope. When you say dealer, do you mean you let them have the vehicle to diagnose the problem.

    Yes - the car was taken to the dealer garage with this problem and they could not offer a solution. Thank you for the suggestion - I'm having another shop look at it

    Unfortunately, just because they sell the vehicle doesn't mean they know how to fix the vehicle.
    Some dealerships don't know how to charge for diagnostics. Therefore the tech won't spend the time to fix it.
