My fuel guage does not operate on my 05 TB. Does this mean the fuel pump needs to be replaced? or the fuel guage sensor? How much should this cost?

Sorry to say that I think this is one of those common problems with GM trucks--the fuel gauge is controlled by an element on the fuel sending unit, which is integral with the pump. The entire module often needs to be replaced.

matte is absolutly correct....95% of the time it is the fuel sending unit. This is located in the gas tank. this is a common GM problem. Unfortunatly it gonna cost around $500-$600. I just had this done.

What would happen if I don't get this fixed? will this just show an incorrect amount of fuel or would it cause more damage?

I have the same problem with my 06 tb and now when i start my car cold, it sounds like something under my car is hissing hella loud 4 a few seconds. i just keep a gas can in the back in case i run out and hope the fuel pump doesnt go out 4 a while lol.

I'm only 20 and i've had 2 dig up a couple grand for repairs, only owning this car for a year.

I've changed the power steering unit, a bunch of wheels on the belt shaft, a catylitic converter. My heater works whenever it decides to, i put it in 4wd on the freeway and it was throwing me all over the road, and if i use reverse in deep snow it yanks my front bumber off.

IF U HAVE THIS CAR SELL IT AND MAKE IT SOMEONE ELSES PROBLEM B4 ITS 2 L8
I WANNA GET GOOD INSURANCE JUST SO I CAN TORCH IT
