Question: 2000 e320 my abs/electric fault light came on, pull over shut car down &

 Rookie

erstarted it abs went away but then i couldn't shift into gear had to use the release tool. Any idea.

    You will need a scanner to access defect fault codes. A few things are possibly wrong. First check that brake lamps are working for the no shifter action. ABS lamp is probably a second problem.
