truck acts like its still in neutral,won't try to pull at all. was told to change transmission fluid and it would work again for a few months,maybe a year.should i try this first,before i have transmission checked?could it be a sensor?my son was driving it,it pulled good,parked it,tried to move it next morning,won't do nothing in reverse.all other gears work good. transmission fluid is reading full.transmission overheat light did come on twice a couple weeks before it went out

Changing the fluid won't help! If that were the case, it would be the same in ALL gears. Most likely worn or broken internal parts. Reverse band probably but will need to be checked by a trans. mechanic to be sure.
