Question: 1999 chevy express won't start

My van won't start in the morning or after its been sitting awhile. It will start after multiple tries. The fuel pump was replace 3-4 yrs ago. Could it need to be replaced again already?

    first make sure your connections to the battery are good (no corrosion or loose connections). if that doesnt work then that means you need to replace the starter

    I had the same problem. I changed the fuel filter and that helped. One problem though is if you changed the fuel pump with a non GM part this is a real issue. The after market pumps dont always make enough pressure. Cold starting takes 65 psi and 45 psi once running. The cheap pumps with bleed off when they sit for awhile and will be very hard to get the engine to start.
