MasterIs the check engine light on? try to hook it up to a scantool if you don't have one go to autozone they do this for FREE this is the first step in trying to figure out what the problem is

Rookiecheck engine light did come one one time before this happend. i do have a scanner and the code came out to be low volt bank one

Visitor, July 24, 2010, 12:12ReplyI have worked on a couple of cars that did this and the problem was the torque converter was locking up. Try rolling the vehicle before putting in drive, it should go fine until you try to stop- then it will shut down. Good luck.
