1997 Chevy Express van, 1500, 350 Vortec showing P0125 code. Temp gauge in dash on 1997 Chevrolet Express 1500

working normally. datastream on scanner ranges from 0-5 degrees F for coolant temp. Are there separate sensors ? Just recently installed new battery. Any advice?

Sorry, I wasn't clear. The coolant temp reading on the scan tool reads 0 degrees F at start-up and when the dash gauge reaches approx 200 and the thermostat begins cycling, the coolant temp reading on the scan tool reads 5 degrees F. My question is whether the ECM and the dash gauge utilize the same sensor/sending unit ?
