Question: 1993 Taurus runs good then spits and sputters then runs good again

When you drive it in the city it seems to be ok but once you step on it like going on the expressway it starts to spit and sputter.

    Could be many things hard to guess without being able to experience the problem first hand.. It could be the ignition system faltering under load, it could be fuel delivery issues or any sensor not giving a "clean" accurate signal to the computer in your car used to control the amount of fuel and timing of spark to the spark plug.
