I just purchased a 1989 Cavalier with 24,000 miles on it. It has been sitting idle. Had to replace the exhaust system as rusted. Tires are good but believe all rubber hoses have dry rotted and am replacing them. It runs great otherwise. Any other things I need to look into. The oil was changed 2 years ago and car has moved 1,500 miles since then. I placed gas treatment and topped off gas and also put Marvail Mystery oil in. Any other suggestions?

Change the oil if you have not already done so. If the tires are old they may need to be replace even with some tread left. I would be a good idea to replace the fuel filter and running a couple of tankfulls of gas.
