How do I Reset this Control Module. When I was hunting at 8000 feet my egr valve light came on. Vehicle still runs fine, I read my Toyota manual and it tell me to take to the dealership to be reset. Please help no Money.

MasterDisconnecting the battery for 30 seconds will reset the light. The temperature switch fails on older OBD1 Toyotas. The EGR works fine but when it opens the sensor if defective does not see temperature change.

For specif test procedures if you do work on your own truck, there is a company that independent auto repair shops "buy" their information from that offer a very reasonable service to do it yourselvers.
