Did you check the actual pressure with a manual test gauge, before and after repair attempt?

That is acceptable pressure on idle! I have seen as low as 8 psi out of a well running engine!! Engine making any noise? Pressure increase with throttle? Define AFM?

Don't make sense unless oil pump relief valve is defective. This system does run at lower pressures, but should increase with rpm. If you figure it out, post results for others.

I had low oil pressure, very low in my 2005 10 psi, checked all the things advised to you, I finally fixed it,I think I read about this problem a couple of years ago. The problem is in the engines oil pickup tube. Chevy changed to a cam lob in the front of the engine to operate the pump, then they ran the pickup tube to the back of the engine pan. I removed the oil pan, pulled the pickup tube, they used an O ring to seal it but if apparently gets hard and loses it sealing ablilities which causes the engine pump to cavitate. So I put a new O ring in along with red sealant. It works great now and I have good oil pressure. My advice is to add the sealant with a new O ring. Don
