2004 Toyota Camry Question: 04 Camry - AC set to max, shouldnt the recirculate turn on automatically?

2004toycam, 3.3L V6, Altadena, CA, May 22, 2012, 10:32

I set the ac heat selector to max and fan to the second speed. I would normally hear a rush of air as the recirc mode goes on but now i have to push the button to activate it when i switch the ac to max. is this correct?

    you are hearing actuator doors closing and opening, the circ door needs to have the button pushed all the time

    so if i switch it to max ac the recirc door should activate on its own?
